Claudio Salz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelo Goito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. New Pi's Gastón Turuk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gustavo Manuelo in the 6 minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, HA FC's goalkeeper Claudio Salz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Goito. New Pi's Marcelo Goito was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cristian Magdaleno hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Teobaldo Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Zé Paulo Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayetano Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Salz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cayetano Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudio Salz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, New Pi's Marcelo Goito dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Claudio Salz was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Marcelo Goito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Goito really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Teobaldo Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Zé Paulo Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. HA FC's Claudio Salz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save HA FC from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, New Pi's Marcelo Goito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Salz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to HA FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ambrosio Gorosti hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Generoso Artizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Pi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Artizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind HA FC's goalkeeper Claudio Salz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as New Pi's Marcelo Goito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Salz. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. If Marcelo Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. HA FC's Claudio Salz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save HA FC from getting a goal against them. Claudio Salz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Teobaldo Dominix made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, New Pi's Cayetano Cordeiro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Dominix in the 54th minute of play forced New Pi's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. HA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristian Magdaleno in the 56th minute. Cristian Magdaleno made a great header on HA FC's corner, it was just that New Pi's Zé Paulo Mendes managed to reach the ball for a save. Cayetano Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. HA FC made a substitution. Octavio Rosio replaced Luís Paulo Moura. In the 67thth minute of the game Marcelo Goito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HA FC's Claudio Salz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Frisco hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, HA FC's Octavio Rosio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-1. Marcelo Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 89 minutes into the match, HA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Goito came free, but Claudio Salz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Paulo Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Dominix's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, New Pi could leave the field as winners, despite HA FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
