Marcial Ibar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Artemio Olivar made a huge save. In the 6th minute Matias Cortis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Inocente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Inocente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leon Esiquio went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Camilo Inocente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Esiquio in the 10th minute of play. Camilo Inocente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Cortis in the 14th minute of play. Jacobo Jerano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Olivar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ruben Honrio charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Honrio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Pata Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Honrio to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Matias Cortis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Inocente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Atletico River Plate booed when Pata Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Comas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atletico River Plate's Eliseo Bide got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Inocente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norbert Ludwiczak's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Camilo Inocente came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Pata Boys's Norbert Ludwiczak. But to his dismay, Norbert Ludwiczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Camilo Inocente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvestre Pitin went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Jacobo Jerano scored 1-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Olivar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Pata Boys were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Esiquio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Pata Boys's Ruben Honrio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Artemio Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Jerano in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Norbert Ludwiczak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Inocente. Club Atletico River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Ludwiczak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's Eliseo Bide sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artemio Olivar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atletico River Plate's Camilo Inocente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico River Plate from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Bide during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eliseo Bide hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Eloy Comas hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Norbert Ludwiczak came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pata Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Ludwiczak couldn't finish the play. Camilo Inocente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Honrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Matias Cortis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eliseo Bide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artemio Olivar having to make a save. Jacobo Jerano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Pata Boys players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
