Tifon Azul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavio Fonticoba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Flavio Fonticoba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bengt Östensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tifon Azul's Bengt Östensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tifon Azul from getting a goal against them. The Tifon Azul fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Tifon Azul's Ted Korevaar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Flavio Fonticoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Gelp 22's Bengt Östensson threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orlando Abajas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gelp 22's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dario Etxahun was slow to take the kick. During this time Tifon Azul's players had a chance to rest. Flavio Fonticoba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bengt Östensson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Abajas in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Östensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavio Fonticoba might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Östensson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Fonticoba ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Abajas to make the kick off. Gelp 22's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cheng Liang Cheng in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Tifon Azul's Şentürk İstemihan got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Tifon Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Abajas came free, but Bengt Östensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Ostadar kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Tifon Azul defense, Orlando Abajas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt Östensson. The Tifon Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt Östensson should have stopped the shot. Flavio Fonticoba took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bengt Östensson. Bengt Östensson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Tifon Azul's Bengt Östensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Fonticoba in the 71st minute of play. Orlando Abajas scored 5-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Östensson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Placido Ostadar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tifon Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelp 22 the free kick. Gelp 22 made a substitution. Fabricio Remicio replaced Albino Teyo. The long shot by Bruno Selmo in the 93rd minute really tested Jaime Laurin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
