The audience was convinced that Abdurrezzak Tunçhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Urtsin was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Patricio Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caleufú's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Rico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casimiro Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Cavani, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Felipe Veto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Casimiro Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Edinson Cavani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casimiro Batista. VictorianoFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinson Cavani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dalmacio Urki kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Caleufú failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
