Santo Beturian started the match with the kick off. Nestor Salvino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Epifanio Monte. El loco Max FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Roberto Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El loco Max FC's protests and gave Roberto Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes El loco Max FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Jurgi. El loco Max FC's Epifanio Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Salvino in the 14th minute of play. When Ladislao Nikola fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA SCALONETA FC's protests and gave Ladislao Nikola a yellow card for diving instead. Ladislao Nikola hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind El loco Max FC's goalkeeper Epifanio Monte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Epifanio Monte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santo Beturian's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Genaro Roano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El loco Max FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA SCALONETA FC the free kick. A collision led to El loco Max FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Genaro Roano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Salvadore in the 25th minute of play forced LA SCALONETA FC's goalkeeper Froilan Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Salvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in El loco Max FC's zone, Santo Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Monte came out of the goal and Santo Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, one of LA SCALONETA FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. LA SCALONETA FC's Santo Beturian got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Mitxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, El loco Max FC's Leonides Salvadore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Froilan Salvino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Mitxel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Maximo Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Beturian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Epifanio Monte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Salvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Mitxel in the 59th minute of the match. David Mitxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Salvino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El loco Max FC's zone, Nestor Salvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Monte came out of the goal and Nestor Salvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot by Carolo Ubelteso from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Epifanio Monte's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Froilan Salvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Salvadore, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the El loco Max FC defense, Santo Beturian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Monte. The El loco Max FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Monte should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as LA SCALONETA FC's Santo Beturian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Epifanio Monte. That made the score 2-2 after 76 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in El loco Max FC's zone, Santo Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Monte came out of the goal and Santo Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, El loco Max FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Mitxel to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, LA SCALONETA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Salvadore came free, but Froilan Salvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Gualterio Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Salvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LA SCALONETA FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
