The Caleufú fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Urtsin should have stopped the shot. In the 8th match minute, Tiburones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Hultman to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Caleufú's goalkeeper Alejo Urtsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Hultman. Alejo Urtsin stood somewhat misplaced when Eddie Hultman came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. Amado Domenec struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Alejo Urtsin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiburones. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Domenec in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Urtsin saved Caleufú from getting behind. In the 29th minute of the match, Amado Domenec tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alejo Urtsin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eddie Hultman took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Urtsin. Alejo Urtsin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Anibal Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Trabucco in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Caleufú's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Domenec came free, but Alejo Urtsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejo Urtsin was a little too slow when Eddie Hultman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Domenec in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Urtsin saved Caleufú from getting behind. Alejo Urtsin made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Eddie Hultman sent off a good shot on target. After 47 played minutes Caleufú got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Trabucco. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Eddie Hultman made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Caleufú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Menendo to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Domenec, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Alejo Urtsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Domenec in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Caleufú got a freekick which was hit by Edinson Cavani. In the 77thth minute of the game Amado Domenec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caleufú's Alejo Urtsin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Prospero Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Urtsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Tiburones's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
