Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 125) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jawad Ashkanani started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Jawad Ashkanani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genoa FC and the Los Cachorros de Ted players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Jawad Ashkanani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Ondino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Quinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ramon Bakar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, one of Los Cachorros de Ted:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Cachorros de Ted. The referee gave Genoa FC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juan Raymundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Cachorros de Ted's Uriel Taurino. 1-0. Jawad Ashkanani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliciano Salbatore during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uriel Taurino stood somewhat misplaced when Jawad Ashkanani came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. If Nemesio Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Ruperto Balesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jawad Ashkanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genoa FC's Juan Raymundo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jawad Ashkanani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Uriel Taurino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artemio Manilan was the one to do the kick off. If Ruperto Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Genoa FC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Tanio. Juan Raymundo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Nemesio Oriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Orlando Ondino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nemesio Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genoa FC made a substitution. Anier Montrel replaced Eulalio Tanio. A collision led to Los Cachorros de Ted getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nemesio Oriol hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jawad Ashkanani in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Taurino saved Los Cachorros de Ted from getting behind. Genoa FC's Orlando Ondino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Oriol in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Oriol in the 73rd minute of play forced Genoa FC's goalkeeper Orlando Ondino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uriel Taurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jawad Ashkanani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes Los Cachorros de Ted's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Raymundo who took care of the corner kick. Orlando Ondino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Salbatore in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes Genoa FC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Jurdan. If Artemio Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Genoa FC's Anier Montrel got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 91st match minute, Los Cachorros de Ted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Quinton to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 96 minutes, Anier Montrel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genoa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Montrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Genoa FC had won after a very even match.
