Amegino's Baldomero Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Rivero in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Amegino defense, Waldemar Hatman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Platon. The Amegino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Platon should have stopped the shot. Baldomero Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Rivero made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Flavio Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute Marcelo Stephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Amegino getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Franklin Amaral hit a great ball. Baldomero Platon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldemar Hatman in the 55th minute. Elói Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Chira AFC's Elói Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Baptista in the 69th minute of play. Franklin Amaral scored 2-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elói Miranda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elói Miranda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amegino's Augusto Oalo was substituted for Renato Baptista. Roberto Fresco hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Amegino had won after a very even match.
