The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Amegino's Baldomero Platon got control of the ball when Nathan de Haan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Luzea in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mister Perfecto in the 15th minute of play forced Amegino's goalkeeper Baldomero Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathan de Haan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Baldomero Platon made a huge save. Baldomero Platon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nathan de Haan in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veto Cena to maneuver through the defense. Diego Firme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute of the match Amegino got a corner. Tigre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renato Baptista ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sergio Basajaun made a great header on Amegino's corner, it was just that Tigre's Vicente Eyague managed to reach the ball for a save. 24 minutes into the match, Amegino's goal looked a bit too open when Mister Perfecto came free, but Baldomero Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Eyague having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Luzea came free, but Vicente Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Luzea was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Amegino's Diego Firme got a free kick in the 51st minute. Baldomero Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan de Haan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathan de Haan in the 57th minute of play forced Amegino's goalkeeper Baldomero Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes Amegino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nico Otamendi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Tigre's Benedicto Aztore getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Vicente Eyague didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amegino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mister Perfecto in the 66th minute of play forced Amegino's goalkeeper Baldomero Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mister Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Firme, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Amegino's Baldomero Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mister Perfecto in the 71st minute of play. When August Nordlund fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tigre's protests and gave August Nordlund a yellow card for diving instead. Amegino's Renato Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Leonel Iratzeder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigre's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Iratzeder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Platon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Amegino's zone, Jorge Cachorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Platon came out of the goal and Jorge Cachorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amegino's Baldomero Platon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Geofredo in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Amegino's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Geofredo came free, but Baldomero Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Tigre players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
