Millonarioneuquino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Juvenal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Millonarioneuquino's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Umbruso came free, but Marciano Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Fabricio Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millonarioneuquino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Umbruso in the 44th minute of play forced Millonarioneuquino's goalkeeper Marciano Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgilio Umbruso to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Cañani's protests and gave Ermegildo Urdin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cañani getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ermegildo Urdin hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes, Millonarioneuquino's Leonardo Arlo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Faustino Txerran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Millonarioneuquino reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Juvenal got free with Marciano Beliran in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 96 minutes, Prospero Juvenal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cañani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Juvenal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cañani's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
