The El Millo de Haedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hernán Crespo took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorio Xabel. Honorio Xabel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Honorio Xabel was a little too slow when Hernán Crespo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 3-0. Honorio Xabel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernán Crespo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Honorio Xabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Olguín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Villurca FC's Honorio Xabel got control of the ball when Hernán Crespo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Jorge Olguín fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 25th play minutes Hernán Crespo shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Honorio Xabel and just under the crossbar into goal. 29 minutes into the game, Villurca FC's Jimeno Ilixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Ruisko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 36 minutes into the match, Jorge Olguín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Xabel. Villurca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Olguín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Honorio Xabel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 7-1. El Millo de Haedo's Jorge Olguín got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Villurca FC's goalkeeper Honorio Xabel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Urtun. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernán Crespo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Hernán Crespo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Honorio Xabel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 54 minutes into the game, El Millo de Haedo's Jorge Olguín nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Villurca FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. 62 minutes into the match, Aurelio Aureo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Xabel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernán Crespo in the 66th minute of play forced Villurca FC's goalkeeper Honorio Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Hernán Crespo put it in 13-1 from a short distance just to the right of Honorio Xabel. In the 82nd minute, Hernán Crespo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorio Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Olguín in the 87th minute of play. If Jorge Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernán Crespo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Honorio Xabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that El Millo de Haedo were the better team. El Millo de Haedo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
