Marcos Laffitte scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Domenec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovidio Calixto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Soin having to interfere. Marcos Laffitte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jaime Domenec made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Sauce FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Knutsson came free, but Jaime Domenec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artemio Kepa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jaime Domenec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Knutsson in the 29th minute of the match. Marcos Laffitte had several of the Sauce FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Jaime Domenec as he didn't even see the shot coming. 33 minutes into the match, Everardo Quinten notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Sauce FC's Jaime Domenec. Jaime Domenec was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everardo Quintens short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Jaime Domenec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 46th minute, Ortigol's Marcos Laffitte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jaime Domenec. Jaime Domenec yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Laffitte was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Everardo Quinten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ortigol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Knutsson in the 56th minute of play forced Sauce FC's goalkeeper Jaime Domenec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Sauce FC got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Kepa. Jaime Domenec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Laffitte in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Marcos Laffitte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Domenec was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. If Jan Knutsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 minutes of play, Ortigol's Marcos Laffitte made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Domenec was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Marcos Laffitte sped through Sauce FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaime Domenec. The supporters of Ortigol booed when Sauce FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Kepa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Laffitte in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Domenec saved Sauce FC from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Ortigol's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Egun came free, but Feliciano Soin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Marcos Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Porfiro hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes Ortigol got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Ostots. In the 94th minute Benito Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Knutsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jaime Domenec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sauce FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ortigol.
