With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Manrique prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hernán Crespo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute of the match excursio fc got a corner. El Millo de Haedo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iwan Cupial ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pankracy Ledochowski made a great header on excursio fc's corner, it was just that El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko managed to reach the ball for a save. Feliciano Manrique showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernán Crespo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Hernán Crespo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Feliciano Manrique.
