Ismael Poncio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Millo de Haedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Vincent in the 19th minute of play forced Aserradero FC's goalkeeper Ismael Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, El Millo de Haedo's Jeremias Ereinotz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Poncio. Ismael Poncio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernán Crespo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Hernán Crespo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Millo de Haedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Gonzalez in the 58th minute of play forced Aserradero FC's goalkeeper Ismael Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Aserradero FC's protests and gave Melquiades Estebe a yellow card for diving instead. Melquiades Estebe hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. El Millo de Haedo's Sixto Vincent got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Ruisko having to interfere. Ismael Poncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gonzalez in the 81st minute of the match.
