After recieving a nice pass, Villurca FC's Nereo Fanuco tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Sauce FC's goalkeeper Jaime Domenec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Basajaun. Jaime Domenec made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Faustino Basajaun sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the game, Benito Nardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sauce FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villurca FC the free kick. Jose Egun charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Egun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Villurca FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Egun. In the 30th minute, one of Villurca FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villurca FC. In the 42nd minute Herminio Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Telesforo to strike the kick off in the second half. Herminio Egun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Honorio Xabel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Herminio Egun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Xabel having to interfere. Ermegildo Ekain hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jaime Domenec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Napier, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Villurca FC's Honorio Xabel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Villurca FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Villurca FC's zone, Herminio Egun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Xabel came out of the goal and Herminio Egun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Domenec having to interfere. Herminio Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herminio Egun in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorio Xabel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herminio Egun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Honorio Xabel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 93 played minutes Sauce FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Bernaldo. Sauce FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
