The referee gave Emilio Xabel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Tala AFC's Emilio Xabel got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jonathan Sauveur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Solustiano in the 15th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
