The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute, Eulalio Martxot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El fortinero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 23 minutes of play, El fortinero's Nicanor Micael made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Bonifaco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Eliseo Sol made a precise shot to the right of Jose Bonifaco. Club Atletico Gral Acha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 28th minute, Froilan Errapel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicanor Micael made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Club Atletico Gral Acha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Pudes to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Micael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Jose Bonifaco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Werner Valckeneers kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of El fortinero booed when Club Atletico Gral Acha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Luken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Cedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Micael in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Bonifaco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Bidun in the 88th minute of play forced El fortinero's goalkeeper Ivan Cedro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the El fortinero defense, Freddy Rafe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Cedro. The El fortinero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Cedro should have stopped the shot. After having played for 93 minutes, Teodoro Chano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El fortinero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Chano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Teodoro Chano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Bonifaco. Club Atletico Gral Acha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Chano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El fortinero walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
