Chulihuense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tala AFC the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Tala AFC booed when Chulihuense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Ciceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tala AFC's Jonathan Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Bastiaro in the 54th minute of play. Angelino Frances took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo Fiz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Iraitz got free with Jonathan Sauveur in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tala AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
