The supporters of Chesterfield booed when La Hormiga Atómica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Urbasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Garoa's late challenge caught a Chesterfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Garoa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chesterfield booed when La Hormiga Atómica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petr Trnka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Anselmo Nevada made a huge save. After 13 minutes of play, Chesterfield's Petr Trnka made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Nevada was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute of the match, Serafin Olayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anselmo Nevada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Petr Trnkas short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Anselmo Nevada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Petr Trnka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Anselmo Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Nevada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borja Iglesias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Hormiga Atómica's Anselmo Nevada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save La Hormiga Atómica from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Petr Trnka put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anselmo Nevada. Anselmo Nevada was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Petr Trnka capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petr Trnka really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Chesterfield's Borja Iglesias got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 minutes of play, Chesterfield's Petr Trnka made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Nevada was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cosme Chale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Cosme Chale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Nevada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Chale, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Chale in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Nevada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Chale in the 61st minute of play forced La Hormiga Atómica's goalkeeper Anselmo Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes, Cosme Chale made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. La Hormiga Atómica's Anselmo Nevada tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute Cosme Chale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Nevada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Petr Trnka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Anselmo Nevada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute, Cosme Chale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chesterfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Anselmo Nevada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Trnka in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Hormiga Atómica's goalkeeper Anselmo Nevada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Chale in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Nevada saved La Hormiga Atómica from getting behind. Chesterfield walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
