With a little luck, SASSUOLO CALCIO's Constantino Kauldi got control of the ball when Blas Noe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 35 minutes into the game, SASSUOLO CALCIO's Ramon Lizer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Nevada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Noe got free with Constantino Kauldi in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Lizer in the 39th minute of play forced La Hormiga Atómica's goalkeeper Anselmo Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Rogelio Ferrer notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of La Hormiga Atómica's Anselmo Nevada. Anselmo Nevada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogelio Ferrer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramon Lizer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Anselmo Nevada made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Feliciano Calvet managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Hormiga Atómica's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Calvet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Kauldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Arsenio Ikatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SASSUOLO CALCIO's zone, Feliciano Calvet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Kauldi came out of the goal and Feliciano Calvet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes, Adan Urbasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Hormiga Atómica and the SASSUOLO CALCIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute Blas Noe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Kauldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Feliciano Calvet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantino Kauldi. SASSUOLO CALCIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliciano Calvet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-7. If Marcos Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Calvet's late challenge caught a SASSUOLO CALCIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Calvet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SASSUOLO CALCIO booed when La Hormiga Atómica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SASSUOLO CALCIO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
