In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berazategui's goalkeeper Muhammet Balkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Gonzalo Fix got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Muhammet Balkan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Severino Abaurre fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cotagaita's protests and gave Severino Abaurre a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cotagaita's Severino Abaurre got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th match minute, Cotagaita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes Cotagaita got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Gomez. 22 minutes into the game, Jo Beerman lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Silvio Florin. 26 minutes in the game, Felix Perrando fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Silvio Florin having to interfere. Jo Beerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Silvio Florin made a huge save. The supporters of Berazategui booed when Cotagaita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Muc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artemio Mederi charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artemio Mederi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pastor Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammet Balkan having to interfere. Silvio Florin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jo Beerman in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Cotagaita's goalkeeper Silvio Florin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jo Beerman. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jo Beerman made a kick off. Paulino Gomez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Muhammet Balkan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 55 played minutes Cotagaita got a freekick which was hit by Blas Millano. Jo Beerman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvio Florin. Cotagaita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 60 played minutes Berazategui got a freekick which was hit by Jo Beerman. Pastor Hustaz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Jo Beerman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berazategui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jo Beerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Gomez got free with Muhammet Balkan in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Cotagaita defense, Felix Perrando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Florin. The Cotagaita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Florin should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Pedro Bortzaioriz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvio Florin was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Marco Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Felix Perrando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Florin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Silvio Florin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Perrando's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. In the 97thth minute of the game Felix Perrando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cotagaita's Silvio Florin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cotagaita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Berazategui.
