In the 44th match minute, Yacuchina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Txanton to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Akatsuki were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fabricio Amato made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Elizardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Yacuchina's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Frederico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Laurentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristides Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 90th minute, Fabricio Amato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute of the match Rolando Aragones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Laurentzi skillfully saved the ball. Marcial Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Laurentzi having to interfere.
