Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Dalmacio Iban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Padro, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Dalmacio Iban charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmacio Iban the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dalmacio Iban hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Denis Gipuzkoa was a little too slow when Eusebio Gorri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. David Gerazan's late challenge caught a Iowa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Gerazan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Retiro FC's David Gerazan got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Retiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute, Victor Padro made a precise shot to the right of Victorio Gaitan. Iowa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Eusebio Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Iowa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Iban to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Gorri in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Gipuzkoa saved Retiro FC from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Iowa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Austin came free, but Victorio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Indar took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorio Gaitan. Victorio Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Eusebio Gorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Gipuzkoa having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gogo Austin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Retiro FC got a freekick which was hit by David Gerazan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Gorri in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Gipuzkoa saved Retiro FC from getting behind. Carmelo Admon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Gipuzkoa came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri. But to his dismay, Eusebio Gorri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 63rd minute Carmelo Admon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eusebio Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Admon took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Gipuzkoa. Denis Gipuzkoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 73rd minute, Teodoro Aztore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebio Gorri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Gipuzkoa having to make a save. Carmelo Admon struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Denis Gipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iowa FC. In the 95th minute, Everardo Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Denis Gipuzkoa. Retiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Iowa FC had played much better football throughout.
