Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Eusebio Gorri started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Iowa FC's Everardo Lopez got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 12th match minute, Iowa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Gaitan came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Granateam's Celestino Hibai. But to his dismay, Celestino Hibai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Granateam's Bernabe Osoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Granateam from getting a goal against them. When Eusebio Gorri came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Iowa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Gorri couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Admons short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Bernabe Osoitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27th minute, Faustino Kemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorio Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Primo in the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Iowa FC defense, Cirilo Primo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorio Gaitan. The Iowa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Gaitan should have stopped the shot. After 32 minutes of play, Iowa FC's Carmelo Admon made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Osoitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Americo Cai hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Iowa FC's zone, Koen Verhoeven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Gaitan came out of the goal and Koen Verhoeven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Reynaldo Rio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Iowa FC's Everardo Lopez got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half Granateam were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Primo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Granateam's Victorio Gaitan threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Koen Verhoeven, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eusebio Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Granateam's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Gorri came free, but Bernabe Osoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60thth minute of the game Eusebio Gorri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granateam's Bernabe Osoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Carmelo Admon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iowa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Admon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimeno Rioja kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bernabe Osoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A well done corner resulted in Eusebio Gorri drilling the ball in to score 2-2 behind Granateam's goalkeeper. A collision led to Iowa FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rafael Rito hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Cirilo Primo notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Iowa FC's Victorio Gaitan. Victorio Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute Cirilo Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorio Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Cirilo Primo sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Pablo Orlanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Granateam's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Granateam were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Iowa FC side.
