When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gláuber Fantini sped through Echegoyen FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Milio Ortega. In the 19th minute Gláuber Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milio Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Gláuber Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Milio Ortega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Milio Ortega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iker Oso went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Iker Oso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milio Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Echegoyen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Oso came free, but Milio Ortega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Echegoyen FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ciudadela Fútbol Club were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Sixto Gilabert made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Iker Oso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milio Ortega was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Gláuber Fantini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gláuber Fantini really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 55 minutes into the match, Echegoyen FC's goalkeeper Milio Ortega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Rodrigues. Roberto Machado's late challenge caught a Ciudadela Fútbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Iturri in the 72nd minute of play forced Ciudadela Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Bonifacio Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Oso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Milio Ortega made a huge save. In the 75th minute Gláuber Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milio Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bonifacio Macias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Gilabert in the 81st minute of play. Echegoyen FC's Milio Ortega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Echegoyen FC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Alonzo Iturri made a precise shot to the right of Bonifacio Macias. Ciudadela Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8. Milio Ortega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Oso in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Iker Oso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ciudadela Fútbol Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
