Spectators: 7591 (Terracing: 5694, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) Fran Juniors's Valdis Skalbergs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fran Juniors's Angel Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaztea Valensuela in the 8th minute of play. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fran Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saturnino Peru in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Saturnino Peru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadeusz Chmelyk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tadeusz Chmelyk made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Valdis Skalbergs sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaztea Valensuela in the 14th minute of play forced Fran Juniors's goalkeeper Angel Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeusz Chmelyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdis Skalbergs, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Christian Primeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angel Ramone came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL's Gaztea Valensuela. But to his dismay, Gaztea Valensuela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Angel Ramone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Montxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Christian Primeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadeusz Chmelyk having to make a save. After some careless play in the C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL defense, Valdis Skalbergs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Chmelyk. The C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Chmelyk should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Fran Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gaztea Valensuela came free, but Angel Ramone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaztea Valensuela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game, Isaiás Pareja fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angel Ramone having to interfere. Tadeusz Chmelyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdis Skalbergs in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Fran Juniors got a corner. C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saturnino Peru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Severo Cuarto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 68th minute, Valdis Skalbergs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fran Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Isidro Eztebe hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL's Jeronimo Bibiano was substituted for Astor Mendebal. After a rather tough play, C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL's Isidro Eztebe got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes, Fran Juniors's Marcelino Fe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tadeusz Chmelyk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fran Juniors reached it. Tadeusz Chmelyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdis Skalbergs in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Fran Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliusz Mietus to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Fran Juniors's goalkeeper Angel Ramone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaztea Valensuela. Tadeusz Chmelyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Cuarto, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fran Juniors fans cheered their team off the field, for while C. S. y Deportivo TANDIL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
