Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valdis Skalbergs got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Cuarto in the 7th minute of play forced Peñitas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Eliseo Eneko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Eneko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Cuarto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fran Juniors's goalkeeper Angel Ramone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13th play minutes Valdis Skalbergs shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Eliseo Eneko and just under the crossbar into goal. Angel Ramone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Cordareo in the 17th minute. Saturnino Peru kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Peñitas Futbol Club booed when Fran Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Peru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Ramone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Oroitz in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdis Skalbergs in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseo Eneko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Fran Juniors booed when Peñitas Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Cordareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Ramone made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Amancio Hori sent off a good shot on target. Fran Juniors's Angel Ramone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Fran Juniors from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Eneko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Cuarto in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Eulalio Pes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Fran Juniors were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ladislao Cordareo to strike the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Eneko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdis Skalbergs in the 51st minute. Miguel Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislao Cordareo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The Fran Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Fran Juniors's Valdis Skalbergs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Peñitas Futbol Club getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Albino Gines hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Miguel Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fran Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Ladislao Cordareo suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. 69 minutes into the game, Zacarias Endura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fran Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peñitas Futbol Club the free kick. Peñitas Futbol Club's Salvador Nel was substituted for Ladislao Cordareo. In the 70th match minute, Fran Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Endura to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Eneko having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdis Skalbergs in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Eneko saved Peñitas Futbol Club from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Fran Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Nel came free, but Angel Ramone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Peñitas Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Oroitz. After 93 minutes of play, Peñitas Futbol Club's Salvador Nel made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Ramone was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Fran Juniors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Peñitas Futbol Club.
