The crowd rose to their feet as Aguirres's Espínola Cabañero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Lozano. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. Mallorca FC's David Lozano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espínola Cabañero in the 24th minute of play. Balázs Bodnár made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Apolo Paez. Balázs Bodnár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. David Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes of play, Aguirres's Apolo Paez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a little luck, Mallorca FC's David Lozano got control of the ball when Espínola Cabañero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aguirres's Afonso Viveiros suffered a sore thigh after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xulio Delgado during the 41st minute. They were angered to see Aguirres lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
