Durham AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Masía Fútbol the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Durham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Chinto to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gustavo Roverano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amador Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Roverano having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Apolo Chorche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, Durham AFC's Marcelino Gitano got a free kick in the 39th minute. Gustavo Roverano made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Severiano Gotzon sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Chinto to make the kick off. Gustavo Roverano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Chinto in the 52nd minute of play. La Masía Fútbol's Gustavo Roverano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Chinto in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in La Masía Fútbol's zone, Amador Ritchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Roverano came out of the goal and Amador Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Al Sjøholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Masía Fútbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Sjøholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th match minute, Durham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. When Severiano Gotzon fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durham AFC's protests and gave Severiano Gotzon a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Durham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Gotzon. Roberto Chinto hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Durham AFC's Severiano Gotzon got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Amador Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
