Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Arnaldo Mikelar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. François Rouvrais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Mikelar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vicente Igon took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Mikelar. Arnaldo Mikelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Phelipe to make the kick off. The Villarreal FC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Villarreal FC's François Rouvrais looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 76th minute, Reynaldo Xabat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by François Rouvrais in the 80th minute of play forced ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Villarreal FC were the better team. Villarreal FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
