With an all-out effort, Sayaco's Ildefonso Pelayo threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danilo Vincent, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Sayaco's zone, Denis Bartuelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Lucian came out of the goal and Denis Bartuelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Minotauro FC booed when Sayaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Elixio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Minotauro FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Prospero Rexino hit a great ball. If Ermegildo Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Lucian having to interfere. Filiberto Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Procopio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Amado Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filiberto Lucian was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Barea got free with Ildefonso Pelayo in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delmiro Rodriguez charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delmiro Rodriguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Bartuelo in the 36th minute of play forced Sayaco's goalkeeper Filiberto Lucian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Sayaco got a freekick which was hit by Matias Elixio. With a little luck, Minotauro FC's Ildefonso Pelayo got control of the ball when Ermegildo Barea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filiberto Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Sayaco's Edgardo Gilen got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Braulio Gelacio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Filiberto Lucian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danilo Vincent to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Sayaco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Braulio Gelacio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 53 in the game by Denis Bartuelo from a close distance when the talented Filiberto Lucian managed to make a qualified save. Sayaco's players were relieved. Ciriaco Procopio kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ildefonso Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Vincent in the 55th minute of play. Ermegildo Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Sayaco's goalkeeper Filiberto Lucian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Bartuelo. Filiberto Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Denis Bartuelo took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Filiberto Lucian to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Gelacio got free with Filiberto Lucian in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Sayaco's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Procopio came free, but Filiberto Lucian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Santo in the 89th minute of the match. Minotauro FC's Amado Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Sayaco's Filiberto Lucian got control of the ball when Braulio Gelacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Minotauro FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
