After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Yağız Akboğa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pearson FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yağız Akboğa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Ado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Croissant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobald Galagan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Yağız Akboğa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Macario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Croissant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Mario Goren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pearson FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Goren in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Ado saved Argentinos Juniors from getting behind. Carlos Croissant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Lucescu's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Nabil Kouri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Croissant was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Yağız Akboğa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Teobald Galagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Croissant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Macario's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Croissant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobald Galagan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Croissant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pearson FC's Carlos Croissant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Lucescu in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Pearson FC's goalkeeper Carlos Croissant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobald Galagan. Pearson FC's Carlos Croissant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Galagan in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Felix Lucescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Croissant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Goren in the 42nd minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Leon Ado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Esteban Jeraldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pearson FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Pearson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Jeraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teobald Galagan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Croissant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The Argentinos Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pearson FC were winning 1-2.
The wind increased when Teobald Galagan made the kick off in the second half. When Froilan Macario came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Macario couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Pearson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teobald Galagan came free, but Carlos Croissant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Croissant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Macario in the 61st minute of the match. Carlos Croissant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Macario in the 68th minute of play. In the 79th minute Teobald Galagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Croissant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pearson FC defense, Teobald Galagan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Croissant. The Pearson FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Croissant should have stopped the shot. Carlos Croissant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Lucescu in the 90th minute of the match. If Victoriano Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
