Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lorenzo Cordarell started the match with the kick off. When Dionisio Santo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Barrio Ruta del Sol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Santo couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, Esther's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Santo came free, but Leopoldo Florin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esther's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isaias Hernando was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrio Ruta del Sol's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Barrio Ruta del Sol's Isaias Hernando to fire away a dangerous shot which Leopoldo Florin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Dionisio Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Florin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Ponciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Lisandro Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrio Ruta del Sol's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Ponciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Florin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Dionisio Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Florin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dionisio Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Florin having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionisio Santo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Florin saved Esther from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionisio Santo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Florin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Barrio Ruta del Sol's Dionisio Santo in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esther's goalie prevented a goal. Leopoldo Florin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Florin came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrio Ruta del Sol's Dionisio Santo. But to his dismay, Dionisio Santo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Esther's zone, Dionisio Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Florin came out of the goal and Dionisio Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Barrio Ruta del Sol were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dionisio Santo made a kick off. In the 51st minute Lorenzo Cordarell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 54 in the game by Dionisio Santo from a close distance when the talented Leopoldo Florin managed to make a qualified save. Esther's players were relieved. Leopoldo Florin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionisio Santo in the 56th minute. Dionisio Santo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Florin. Leopoldo Florin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 63 minutes, Dionisio Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrio Ruta del Sol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionisio Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Dionisio Santo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esther's Leopoldo Florin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Jakes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionisio Santo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Florin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dionisio Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Florin having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Eduardo Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrio Ruta del Sol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Ponciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Esther's Leopoldo Florin got control of the ball when Dionisio Santo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Lisandro Ponciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dionisio Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Florin having to interfere. The supporters of Barrio Ruta del Sol booed when Esther was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Lamberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Florin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Isaias Hernando. In the 96th minute, Barrio Ruta del Sol's Dionisio Santo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopoldo Florin. Leopoldo Florin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Barrio Ruta del Sol's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
