In the 16th minute, Elpidio Samuel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Johans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Florin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melchor Johans got free with Leopoldo Florin in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Esther's zone, Elpidio Samuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Florin came out of the goal and Elpidio Samuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Melchor Johans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Melchor Johans came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Willy Brown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Johans couldn't finish the play. Willy Brown FC's Guilherme Cruz was substituted for Melchor Johans. 62 minutes into the match, Guilherme Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Florin. Esther's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leopoldo Florin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Cruz in the 64th minute of play. Leopoldo Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Cai, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Leopoldo Florin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Samuel in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Esther's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Cresencio came free, but Leopoldo Florin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willy Brown FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
