The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sixto Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Frisco in the 3rd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Maximo Frisco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixto Franco. Inter de zarate FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Frisco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Inter de zarate FC's Sixto Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Lluterio in the 7th minute of play. Jacobo Roldanillo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Santo Lluterio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Sixto Franco made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Tetra Pack FC's zone, Fausto Caton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Arnau came out of the goal and Fausto Caton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Richard Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de zarate FC and the Tetra Pack FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Richard Pettersson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Tomás Claude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Silvano Arnau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Antonio Arnau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Santo Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sixto Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Lluterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Franco made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Santo Lluterio sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute of the match Tetra Pack FC got a corner. Inter de zarate FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santo Lluterio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Faustino Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sixto Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Fausto Caton made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Santo Lluterio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Inter de zarate FC's Sixto Franco. Sixto Franco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute of the match, Fausto Caton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silvano Arnau saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Lluterio in the 64th minute of play forced Inter de zarate FC's goalkeeper Sixto Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Isidro Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tetra Pack FC's Gusmão Tinoco got a free kick in the 67th minute. Fausto Caton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Silvano Arnau made a huge save. The supporters of Inter de zarate FC booed when Tetra Pack FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Roldanillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Franco came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Tetra Pack FC's Santo Lluterio. But to his dismay, Santo Lluterio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gusmão Tinoco during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Lluterio in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Franco saved Inter de zarate FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Lluterio in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixto Franco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Lluterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sixto Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Lluterio in the 88th minute of play. If Santo Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sixto Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Lluterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tetra Pack FC's Maximo Frisco in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter de zarate FC's goalie prevented a goal. Inter de zarate FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tetra Pack FC had won, even though Inter de zarate FC had held more of the ball.
