After 34 played minutes La Coruña FC got a freekick which was hit by Elari Eesti. 35 minutes into the game, one of La Coruña FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. San Lorenzo fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Grzegorz Budacz scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Naldo, making the score, 5-0. Octavio Arnau succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 6-0 in the 44th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Elari Eesti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Naldo was relentless in the 69th minute of the game.
