But to his dismay, Cesar Rosio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, Miami Tropics Sun's Rodrigo Palacios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Dorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Miami Tropics Sun's zone, Bartolo Goiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate came out of the goal and Bartolo Goiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Macerio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Bartolo Goiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bernabe Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miami Tropics Sun's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Dorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute Siro Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachilo FC's Bartolo Goiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate. That made the score 1-2 after 38 minutes of play. 46 minutes into the game, Bernabe Bermudez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Roque Dorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Miami Tropics Sun were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Arano was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Miami Tropics Sun defense, Esteban Montel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate. The Miami Tropics Sun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Arano, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC's goalkeeper Roque Dorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Toribio. Teodosio Criston charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roque Dorio firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Cachilo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Siro Bela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miami Tropics Sun's supporters rose to their feet, but Siro Bela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 80th minute of the match, Siro Bela got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roque Dorio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bartolo Goiz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachilo FC. After a rather tough play, Cachilo FC's Donato Lizardi got a free kick in the 86th minute. Rodrigo Palacios charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Miami Tropics Sun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Bela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Lizardi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Amadeo Macerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miami Tropics Sun were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
