With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Ortega in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate saved Miami Tropics Sun from getting behind. Silvio Austin took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davide Franco. Davide Franco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Palacios in the 11th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Davide Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Dimas's late challenge caught a Locura Académica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Dimas helped the player get up and apologised. Dionisio Dimas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Locura Académica's Remus Pinches. But to his dismay, Remus Pinches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A hard shot by Remus Pinches from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 21stth minute of the game Rodrigo Palacios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Davide Franco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Locura Académica's Davide Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Palacios in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urbano Ortega got free with Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute Siro Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Miami Tropics Sun got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Austin. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Urbano Ortega put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate. Locura Académica's Davide Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Bela in the 32nd minute of play. Ronald Koeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate having to interfere. Davide Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Urbano Ortega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Miami Tropics Sun's Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Ortega in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Ortega to make the kick off. Siro Bela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Franco having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Miami Tropics Sun fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Miami Tropics Sun defense, Remus Pinches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate. The Miami Tropics Sun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Locura Académica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saip Umural to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbano Ortega in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Miami Tropics Sun's zone, Gaudencio Hartz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate came out of the goal and Gaudencio Hartz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Ortega's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Urbano Ortega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miami Tropics Sun's Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Siro Bela came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Davide Franco could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Ortega in the 80th minute of play forced Miami Tropics Sun's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siro Bela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Davide Franco made a huge save. Emiliano Martínez de Aldunate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Ortega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Locura Académica were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Miami Tropics Sun for a fine match.
