Edvaldo Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Paulino Ekhi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davide Franco was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Monsalvo's Paulino Ekhi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davide Franco. Davide Franco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Urbano Ortega made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Gaudencio Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davide Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Ekhi in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Paulino Ekhi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Davide Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Nafarroa in the 60th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Davide Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monsalvo were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Locura Académica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Apolo Martxelin took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Rodrigo Maties managed to volley towards the net. Davide Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Benjamin Emenon's late challenge caught a Monsalvo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Emenon helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Locura Académica got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Emenon. Davide Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Montrell in the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monsalvo had played much better football throughout.
