The supporters of Leonel Club de Fútbol booed when Monsalvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Martxelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Romeo Ixidor fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leonel Club de Fútbol's protests and gave Romeo Ixidor a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Leonel Club de Fútbol got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Ixidor. In the 7th minute Paulino Ekhi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cordera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cordera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Ekhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Paulino Ekhi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leonel Club de Fútbol's Marcos Cordera. Marcos Cordera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute, Leonel Club de Fútbol's Remigio Norino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Monsalvo's Lisandro Nafarroa in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leonel Club de Fútbol's goalie prevented a goal. Anibal Rafel charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Rafel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Lisandro Nafarroa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cordera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Andres Ariando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Monsalvo's Lisandro Nafarroa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cordera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Marcos Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Ekhi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43rd play minutes Paulino Ekhi shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Marcos Cordera and just under the crossbar into goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Ekhi made a kick off. If Lisandro Nafarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 52 minutes into the game, Lisandro Nafarroa lined in a short shot 1-7 behind a frustrated Marcos Cordera. With his leg Marcos Cordera managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Monsalvo's Paulino Ekhi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin McNeur in the 63rd minute of play forced Monsalvo's goalkeeper Andres Ariando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Ariando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Norino in the 65th minute of the match. Monsalvo's Lisandro Nafarroa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Marcos Cordera was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Paulino Ekhi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulino Ekhi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-9. The audience was convinced that Paulino Ekhi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cordera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Monsalvo's Teobaldo Montrell was substituted for Lisandro Nafarroa. Andres Ariando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Norino in the 81st minute of play. Marcos Cordera came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Monsalvo's Paulino Ekhi. But to his dismay, Paulino Ekhi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-11. Monsalvo's Andres Ariando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin McNeur in the 90th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Teobaldo Montrell rounded Leonel Club de Fútbol's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-12. The Leonel Club de Fútbol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monsalvo's performance. The match ended with a win for Monsalvo.
