When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Rene Baumer put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Agustin Rosi. Rene Baumer took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Rosi. Agustin Rosi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Astor Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Vito in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Baumer was the one to do the kick off. Agustin Rosi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Nahia in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute of the match, Maximino Nahia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Rosi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Patricio Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Don Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
