When Adan Urtungo fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jardineros's protests and gave Adan Urtungo a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Jardineros got a freekick which was hit by Adan Urtungo. In the 4th minute, Eulalio Eudoxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Hulberto in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Gergori saved Yaretayo from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Florencio Checa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jardineros's Hilario Elixio. Hilario Elixio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aureliano Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hilario Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Yaretayo got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Opilano. Aureliano Opilano scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Elixio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Aureliano Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Tximitx was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Florencio Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yaretayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilario Elixio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Opilano went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Hilario Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Opilano in the 37th minute of the match. When Florencio Checa came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Yaretayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Checa couldn't finish the play. Adrian Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Gergori having to interfere. Hilario Elixio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andy Cole went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Aureliano Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yaretayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Opilano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Elixio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Jardineros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yaretayo were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Hegoi made a kick off. Hilario Elixio was a little too slow when Florencio Checa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 56th minute, Aureliano Opilano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yaretayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. 59 minutes into the game, Aureliano Opilano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Hilario Elixio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Jardineros booed when Yaretayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Confesor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Jardineros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aureliano Opilano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aureliano Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Hilario Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Adan Urtungo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hilario Elixio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Florencio Checa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Yaretayo's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Hegoi came free, but Herminio Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
