Enrique Maule's late challenge caught a Vilela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Maule helped the player get up and apologised. Iker Goizeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Yaretayo getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Godfredo Breogan hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Aureliano Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Aldo Markel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Gergori. Yaretayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Markel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, Vilela's goalkeeper Maximino Rio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aureliano Opilano. After 30 minutes of play, Yaretayo's Aureliano Opilano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximino Rio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herminio Gergori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Markel, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Florencio Checa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Rio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Florencio Checa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With a little luck, Vilela's Maximino Rio got control of the ball when Aureliano Opilano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximino Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Checa in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Yaretayo booed when Vilela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Papo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Genaro Confesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Markel to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aureliano Opilano in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximino Rio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Aureliano Opilano put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximino Rio. Aldo Markel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Herminio Gergori skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 68 minutes into the match, Yaretayo's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Markel came free, but Herminio Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vilela booed when Yaretayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Breogan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilela's Maximino Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yaretayo's Enrique Rico got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th match minute, Vilela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Salomone to maneuver through the defense. Vilela's Maximino Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Checa in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vilela's zone, Florencio Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Rio came out of the goal and Florencio Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Yaretayo's Florencio Checa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximino Rio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Florencio Checa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Maximino Rio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Aureliano Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yaretayo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
