In the 21st minute of the match, Manuel Mazuste tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anier Tiadoro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Tiburcio Serafo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Onofre got free with Anier Tiadoro in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute Tiburcio Serafo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Bazil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
