The supporters of Hacha y Tiza FC booed when Churqui AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Churqui AFC's Manuel Ermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Bihar in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Bihar in the 31st minute of play forced Churqui AFC's goalkeeper Manuel Ermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Fernando Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Ermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Churqui AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Bras to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Churqui AFC got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Larra. Esteban Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Manuel Ermano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Bihar in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Bihar to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Bihar got free with Manuel Ermano in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
