After some careless play in the Soldados de Moreno defense, Cleto Jaume kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Cristofol. The Soldados de Moreno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Cristofol should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Everardo Cordaryal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Urbez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Soldados de Moreno getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nemesio Rufo hit a great ball. Adrian Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Gilesindo in the 15th minute of play. When Cleto Jaume came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Chavarría fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Jaume couldn't finish the play. When Ciriaco Herauso fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soldados de Moreno's protests and gave Ciriaco Herauso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Ciriaco Herauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Mauro Guerrero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Cristofol. Soldados de Moreno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Guerrero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35th minute Hilario Gilesindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Hilario Gilesindo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Soldados de Moreno's Adrian Cristofol. Adrian Cristofol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Jaume stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Chavarría fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Chavarría 's Eli Laredo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Cleto Jaume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
