Hijos del Patriarcado's Genaro Ereinotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Beti in the 19th minute of play. Feliciano Indartsu took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genaro Ereinotz. Genaro Ereinotz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Genaro Ereinotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Ferran in the 31st minute of the match. Saul Arias's late challenge caught a Hijos del Patriarcado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Arias helped the player get up and apologised. When Freddy Oto came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Hijos del Patriarcado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Oto couldn't finish the play. Hugo Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Duarte having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Freddy Oto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Independiente Avellaneda booed when Hijos del Patriarcado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Ereinotz having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Segundo Ferran scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genaro Ereinotz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Maraman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes, Rolando Maraman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hijos del Patriarcado and the Independiente Avellaneda players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rolando Maraman kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
