Leandro Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Montez, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Amancio Iraido hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's Andres Iraunkor got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Faustino Montez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Maciel was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Wilfredo Oliveiro scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leandro Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Oliveiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Oliveiro in the 53rd minute of play forced MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's goalkeeper Leandro Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
