A collision led to MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Yuri Cordeiro hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Rigoberto Errando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Maciel skillfully saved the ball. Serafin Ipar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Raimundo Playo made a huge save. Serafin Ipar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo Playo came out and tried to block the shot, but Serafin Ipar slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute, Cienega AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacobo Marquez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's Angel Blasco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raimundo Playo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 42 minutes into the match, MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Berart came free, but Leandro Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Cienega AFC's Constantino Berart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Yuri Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's protests and gave Yuri Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Yuri Cordeiro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Anacleto Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Leandro Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Abeijon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Candido Abeijon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Maciel having to interfere. Yuri Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. MERLÍ BERGERÓN FC's Amancio Iraido was substituted for Yuri Cordeiro. In the 67th minute, Amancio Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacobo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Cienega AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Guillerme to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
