The Estrellas del Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Irrintzi should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Estrellas del Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Özcan Sırat came free, but Tiburcio Irrintzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Westie FC's Özcan Sırat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiburcio Irrintzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tiburcio Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özcan Sırat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Victoriano Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Westie FC got a freekick which was hit by Özcan Sırat. After 31 minutes Westie FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Gurutz who took care of the corner kick. Dimitris Moularas kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tiburcio Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Sırat in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Westie FC's goalkeeper Esteve Calisto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 42 minutes, 任荣延 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrellas del Norte and the Westie FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, 任荣延 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiburcio Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Sırat in the 44th minute of play. Aloísio Matias did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Esteve Calisto 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Özcan Sırat was the one to do the kick off. Aloísio Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aloísio Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aloísio Matias hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Irrintzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özcan Sırat in the 53rd minute of the match. When Aloísio Matias came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Estrellas del Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Matias couldn't finish the play. Westie FC's Esteve Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Matias in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Aloísio Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esteve Calisto came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Estrellas del Norte's Everardo Atarratze. But to his dismay, Everardo Atarratze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. A hard shot 70 in the game by Dimitris Moularas from a close distance when the talented Tiburcio Irrintzi managed to make a qualified save. Estrellas del Norte's players were relieved. Tiburcio Irrintzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victoriano Bieito in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Florencio Boniel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiburcio Irrintzi. The goal made the score 2-3. The audience was convinced that Aloísio Matias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Calisto was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 85th minute of the match, Dimitris Moularas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiburcio Irrintzi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Estrellas del Norte's Tiburcio Irrintzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Estrellas del Norte from getting a goal against them. Estrellas del Norte's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Evaristo Pedroso scored to the left of an out of position Tiburcio Irrintzi, making the score, 2-4. In the 95th match minute, Estrellas del Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Rencio to maneuver through the defense. Westie FC's Özcan Sırat got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Westie FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
